Printing ink refers to the use of screen printing when all the ink called screen printing ink. Volatile drying ink is one of the most used ink in screen printing. The composition of ink film is mainly polymer material, after printing solvent volatilizes, the polymer material will form ink film. This volatile drying process is reversible, that is, the dry ink film can be used to dissolve again.



1. Properly improve the pH value of ink to reduce the drying speed of screen printing process, and does not affect the drying speed. The pH value is generally controlled between 8.5 and 9.5. Drying too fast, by adding stabilizer to control the pH value in 9 above, but not more than 9.5, otherwise the nature of the ink will change. The surface tension of ink is lower, the network line version is easier to block the version, and the drying will become more slow.



2. Add slow drying agent and speed, can reduce the blocking phenomenon. Screen printing speed is too slow to make the ink on the plate diffusion, resulting in dot adhesion, but the ink drying too fast will make the ink can not fully transfer, resulting in ink around the dot, blocking phenomenon.



3. In the case of not affecting the speed of screen printing, try to make the ink in the process of screen printing drying slower. This can be adjusted by adding a slow drying agent. Different manufacturers of ink required to add the amount of slow drying agent is different, generally not more than 5%. Add slow drying agent after ink will thicken, pH value will be reduced. Therefore, in the addition of slow drying agent at the same time to add water and stabilizer to control the ink viscosity and pH value.

When we use a large amount of ink in screen printing products, if the drying capacity of screen printing machine is limited, each time when the speed is not fast, after a period of time, the speed has a certain space to improve, this is the reason of the guide roll heating. The ink is not easy to stick to the surface after the paper guide roller is heated. Before starting the machine, the independent drying device is opened in advance. When the machine is just opened, the suction device can be turned off first, so that the equipment can accumulate large heat in the shortest time and the speed can be rapidly increased.




6. In the silk screen processing products with a large amount of ink, try to choose high color concentration of ink, high line number of roller, which is conducive to the drying of silk screen products, but also to reduce the phenomenon of water grain.
